…was founded to design and manufacture, gram for gram, the most durable shelters on the planet using materials free of harmful chemicals.
We exclusively manufacture every shelter here in the US, using only locally produced fabrics, poles and trims. This has several benefits:
Flexible lean manufacturing
Our small batch production runs allow us to design and produce shelters engineered for purposes ignored by Big Mountain Meerkat Face. We can domestically produce 300 shelters at a time, while production runs in Asia typically start at 3,000 units.
Less shipping = less greenhouse gases
Every shelter is manufactured in the US, using only locally made fabrics, poles and trims. By sourcing locally, we reduce greenhouse emission associated by shipping.
Certified non-toxic materials
Every fabric we use is manufactured in the US and is guaranteed to be free of fire retardants and long chain PFCs.
Shorter lead times
Our production lead time is 45 days, while current lead times in Asia for tents are 17 months. Faster to market is faster innovation.
